How does Rustic Swan work?

Rustic Swan is a creative community of local Artists, Crafters, and Antiquers. We have a wide variety of quality shops in our store. Each Vendor rents a area of the store and creates their own shop within our Shop. The vendor is given a vendor account number that they put on their tags along with the price and a description of the item. Customers can shop several small shops all under one roof. We have one Centralized register where our staff enters the vendor number, description and price into our POS system which gives that vendor credit for that item. Each vendor can login to see his/her daily sales. Twice a month on the 1st and 15th, Rustic Swan cuts a check to the vendor for their total sales minus the next month’s rent and applicable fees.

Vendors do not need to be present at the store to make sales. Just setup your space, tag your merchandise, and let us do the rest. You can open a new business and sell your products without the stress and expense of having your own brick and mortar store. You can open a shop AND keep your day job.

How much do the Vendors pay?

We charge a monthly rent for the space and a small commission on sales. These depend on which space you choose and which location you are interested in. Talk to the store owner for more information.

How long is a lease?

Our leases are 12 months long and goes month to month after that.  We do have exceptions and can adjust depending on the Vendors needs.

How do I lease a space?

How does Rustic Swan choose who becomes a Vendor in the store?

We look at all the applications we have on file and make a determination on who we feel would be the best fit for the specific space we have available. We take into account the size and location of the space, the quality and unique nature of the items for sale, the look of each shop, and the experience of the shop owner.

Are there work requirements?

No. We work for you not the other way around.

What are the costs and fees?

We take a small percentage of the sales to cover overhead and employee costs. Each store is uniquely setup for that location. Ask the store owner for details.

Does Rustic Swan charge electric fees?

No. We encourage the use of lighting as it makes the store look better and increases sales.

How do you advertise?

We have embraced Social Media and within one year generated almost 4000 followers.  We focus on Facebook and Instagram.  We are expanding to Tik Tok soon it’s a work in progress. 

How often do you post on Social Media?

We post several times a day on both platforms.  It is your responsibility to generate a customer base for your products through social media as well. 

Do you have special events?

Yes. We are Members of the Chamber of Commerce and Sponsor their Witches Night Out yearly where people pay to be toured around town to shop.  Also part of several bus tours throughout the year.  We have Christmas in July and have Santa both then and for Christmas.  We also have several random events, classes and specials all year long.
